I have a query regarding mbbs counselling under management quota for maharashtra and punjab
Hello,
MBBS admissions in India are regulated through NEET-UG, but private and deemed universities have a certain percentage of seats reserved under the management quota. In Maharashtra and Punjab, you must still qualify NEET-UG to be eligible for these seats. The management quota allows candidates to get admission regardless of their state domicile and with slightly lower NEET scores than required for government quota seats, but the fees are significantly higher. In Maharashtra, management quota admissions are handled by the DMER through centralized counseling for private colleges. In Punjab, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) oversees the counseling process for most medical colleges. You will need to register for the respective state’s counseling process, select the management quota option, and participate in seat allotment. The advantage is higher flexibility in choosing colleges, but you must be financially prepared because fees can be 12–20 lakh per year in some colleges. Always verify the college’s MCI/NMC recognition before finalizing admission.
Thank you and good luck .
