If you have been allotted an orphan seat under CAP (Centralized Admission Process) in Polytechnic but are not an orphan, and you have opted for betterment in CAP 3, here’s what you should know:
-
Seat Allotment and Betterment :
- Current Seat Status : The seat allotted to you in CAP 2 will be held until you complete the process of betterment in CAP 3. Since you’ve opted for betterment, you’re essentially seeking a chance to improve your seat allocation based on your preferences in the subsequent rounds.
-
Process for Betterment :
- Opting for Betterment : By choosing betterment, you indicate that you want to be considered for a higher preference in CAP 3. If you get a better seat in CAP 3, the seat you were allotted in CAP 2 will be automatically canceled, and your new allotment will be finalized.
- If No Betterment Seat is Allotted : If you do not secure a better seat in CAP 3, your original allotment in CAP 2 will remain valid, provided you follow the required procedures such as reporting to the allotted college and completing admission formalities.
Ensuring Safety of Original Seat :
- Confirmation : Ensure you understand the specific rules of your admission process by contacting the admission authorities. They will provide clarity on how betterment impacts your current seat and the necessary steps to follow.
It's essential to stay updated with the CAP process and follow all instructions to ensure a smooth transition and secure your final seat.
