I have completed Bsc I am interested in pharmaceutical and food industry what should I do
Dear Stephan,
Entering the pharmaceutical industry requires professional qualifications like a B.Pharm or an M.Pharm or Pharm. D (Doctor of Pharmacy).
As you have already completed BSc, it wouldn't be a good idea to start all over again with B.Pharm which requires only 10+2 with PCB/M.
However, you can definitley go for MSc Chemistry and take up a subject related to pharmaceutical science for your doctoral studies and enter the field of research.
Now if your main aim is to secure a job immediately in the pharma sector with your BSc (Chemistry) you can try the job profile of Medical Representative. Another good idea is to do MBA in Pharmaceutical Management. A number of B-Schools/universities offer this course, which would require you to crack CAT/MAT or institute-specific entrance test.
When you say 'food industry', it's not very clear as to which sector of the food industry you want to enter. Assuming that you want to enter the field without aiming for any specialised branch, a lot of programmes are on offer.
If you are interested in food production, you can go for 1-year Diploma in Food Producation/Diploma in Food and Beverage Service/Diploma in Bakery and Confectionary etc from the Institute of Hotel Management. You can also go for PG Diploma in Culinary Arts (1.5 years).
Alternatively, you can crack MBA entrances like CAT/MAT and try specialized MBAs in hospitality sector, including Hotel Management.
