I have done Management in tourism and travel. Can i apply for UGC NET in management?

Hey, As per the rules of NTA you have to give your first priority to tourism and travel as per your Masters. You can fill Management keeping it as other priority.

According to the rules of UGC NET exams, a candidate can apply in the subject in which they have done their post-graduation only, and if their subject is not mentioned in the list of subjects given there, then the candidate may apply in the allied field of the subject.
In your case, I believe there is already a separate subject which is paper number 93, 'Tourism Administration and Management' so you will have to appear in this paper only and not in the management subject as management is for the MBA students mainly.

According to NTA officials, for UGC NET, candidates must appear in the subject of their post graduation only. The candidates, whose post graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects, may appear in a related subject. However, in your case, the list of related subject is mentioned in the list - Tourism Administration and Management. From this perspective, your related subject must be Tourism Administration and Management. Thus, you must appear in Tourism Administration and Management.

However, just check the syllabus of Management paper of UGC NET and if you find that the syllabus of Management in Tourism and Travel matches more with that of Management Paper, you can also go for it. But, that should be secondary. Just check the syllabus of both and see.

The only educational qualification that you must meet are as below :

• Unreserved category candidates must have scored at least 55% marks in Masters or equivalent exam.

• OBS/ST/SC/PWD/Transgender candidates must score not less than 50% marks in Masters or equivalent examination.
