I have Gap in my work experience does this effect my MBA selection and pursuing? And what are opportunities with MBA
Hi Tarun,
The gap in your work ex won't matter as far as you are able to express your reason in a proper manner, there can be multiple reasons for the gap. Do expect follow up questions like what did you do in the meanwhile? What did you learn from that experience? and state these even if you are not asked because it will surely turn the odds in your favor by creating an optimistic story.
Ultimately, its all about your STORY!
Hope this helps,
All the best
Hi Tarun,
Thanks for approaching us. A break in your career/work experience does not really matter if you have a valid reason. More so, if you have decent CAT / XAT / CMAT scores along with a good track record, nothing else should matter. Remember, the interview rounds are quite challenging, so be prepared to answer them appropriately.
Yes, MBA will surely uplift your career growth if you want to make a move towards management/managerial roles.
If you have more than 10 years of work experience, I would suggest you opt for an Executive MBA/EMBA. Even premier institutes like IIMs offer executive MBA programmes. It will help in understanding advanced management skill within a short span of time.
Hope it helps! Best wishes.
