I have given an answer i.e., 3.0 but the official gate answer key gives the range 3 to 3 Is my answer correct??

3 is an integer and 3.0 is a float, but 3 is not lesser than 3.0 or 3.0 is not lesser than 3.
So your answer is Correct.
According to GATE,
Your answer will be considered right.
