The Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling.
For State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State.
To secure an admission otherwise you can get through Management Quota.
Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities.
There are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of their respective states of which they have domicile for are eligible to apply for these seats. Category B seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through Direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs.
Category C are the NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
See as per your Marks-490 it is difficult to get a Government Medical Seat even if you have a state quota and another quota if applicable. You should have maintained a score above 550 to be on the safer side
At this stage, I will suggest you must use this link to get a fair idea about the colleges both Private and Government you can get as per the score you have received and then plan accordingly.
