i have not applied for EWS certificate while giving jed mains.ive secured ranks through general now(AIR17k 98.2percentile).So can i use EWS while getting admissions,or can get benefited after getting into a NIT??

If you have not mentioned your Category as EWS, during application form filling, then during Counselling process there is no option for you to change your Category now. Because, after filling the Application Form, it gets locked automatically and nothing can be done after that.
If you get any Engineering College then you have to take admission under General Category only . There will be no benefit for you if you show your EWS Certificate during Counselling process. If you had mentioned your Category as EWS earlier, then you would have got benefits for it in 2 ways :-
- 10% Reservation in Government Engineering Colleges like IIT, NIT.
- You have to pay only 50% fees of total amount which General Category pays.
Unfortunately you didn't do the needful, you have to take admission under General Category only.
