Since EWS quota is introduced this year only, there are no clear cut ideas available. But, it is 10% of general category, by which we can have a rough estimation. With 584 in EWS category, you have chances of procuring a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 533 was required to fetch one a seat in the Dharbanga medical college and hospital in general category under the state quota. So, 10% of it may go down to somewhere around 500. Keeping in mind the difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats, a score of 550 or above would ensure a seat this year.
