I m in bba, preparing for CAT 20,am confused, weather to focus on event's taken in college for practical knowledge or on studies i.e sem..CAT.
Hello Neha, Let me tell you that you take good decision for starting your preparation for CAT exam 2020 so that you are able to sum up all the syllabus. For the preparation of CAT exam you are not able to participate in the events of your college which is not so good. All those events are very useful to give you a practical knowledge. Though you are preparaing for 2020 exam you can make time table for the preparation so that you can handle both the events together eg college events as well as exam preparation. Participating in college will also helps you to score high in your graduation which will enhance your moral & confidence so that you can condifent for clearing CAT 20. Cracking a CAT needs a strategic study. If you had a strategy not don't need to miss all the college event. Go for it and grab the practicality of the subjects, life and course.
good luck
Hi Neha,
You should focus on both the things .preparing for cat is important but the events taking place in college for your practical knowledge is also important.this will help you to learn and develop skills which you cannot get in books.and for cat 2020 if you regularly gives one hour seriously to your preparation you can surely score good .
Hope this would help you .
Hii Neha
If you get through CAT with a high percentile and go up to get interviewed by the top iim professors you must have practical knowledge so as to get through easily . The basic idea of a college is to give you the exposure which you lacked in school and you must take advantage of that and actively take part in events which are taking place in and around you college and gain as much practical knowledge and skill as possible . It really helps to get a seat in an IIM

Hey,
I would you need to balance both the things to gain practical knowledge and studies. The first two years should be for concentration on getting the practice knowledge and focusing on the events and internships if any. With this you can start little bit of preparation for CAT. It depends on the time you can devote. And in the third year you should concentrate more on CAT preparation and less on the events. Also you should try and do atleast one internship.
