Dear Aspirant,
You have to provide the document when you go for counseling or you qualify for JEE advanced then you have to upload the certificate. So I suggest you should apply for EWS certificate as soon as possible as it might take some time before you get the document and therefore you must have it ready beforehand.
Get ready all the other documents also like passing certificate, domicile certificate, etc. It'll be problematic to get them in a short period of time.
