I passed in class 12th cbse in all subjects in 2024 but i gave improvement exam in maths but i only get 1 more marks . so , i appear as private candidate in 2025 but this time i got rt in maths. what will happen with my result. did i have to give compartment or the previous marks will consider
So, here’s the situation: You completed your Class 12 CBSE exams in 2024 and passed all subjects. Later, you took the Maths improvement exam, but, not your best day you ended up with a lower score than before. Understandably, that might make you a bit anxious.
But, in line with CBSE’s official policy, the higher of your two Maths scores is what matters. Your original (and better) marks are the ones that’ll be taken into account for your final marksheet. That’s the score colleges, government job boards, and entrance exam folks will look at. The improvement exam marksheet will show your new (lower) score, but unless you specifically want to use that one (which, you know, probably not), your best result stands.
So, academically speaking: No disadvantage here. You can confidently use your original, higher Maths score in all your future applications.
