According to reservation of seats as per jee main system , reservation is provided only on the basis of caste. It does not specify any defence quota. In my knowledge, there are no nits with defence quota although some other institutes like DTU (filled under jac counselling ) , IIIT-Delhi (filled under josaa counselling ), hbtu and so on are options available for you with army quota.

Qualify Jee is not itself sufficient to get you a good Nit college.
For this you have to score way better than cutoff. After that on the basis of your percentile and rank you have to go for counselling and after that on the basis of your rank you will be allotted college and branch.

I am telling you that you can apply for AIT Pune (Army Institute of Technology) . The college is a very good institute. And the infrastructure is really a nice one. You may not get army quota in nit but AIT is meant for wards of army officials.

For getting an NIT through JEE Mains , you need very good score in Mains. After securing very good marks in mains, candidates get NIT in second or third round of couseling. So It totally depends on your marks because there is no army quota in JEE. You require at least 130 - 150 for NIT and more than 230 for top NITs.
