Hello student,
One thing to understand is that, just mere qualification cannot assure you a seat in any NIT's. You have neither mentioned which category you belong to nor your home state. If your category is general, then a rank of something which is not above 20,000 would get you a seat in the best NIT's. If it is obc, then 15,000 would be a good rank to get top NIT's. If you belong to sc or St, then, your rank should not be above 4,000. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

On just qualifying you can not get seat in any NIT but if your rank is under 5lakh then you can take admission in any govt college by state counselling but for admission 12th percentage should also be good for admissions counselling process please feel free to contact me Amit rajput 7895545761

The admission in NITs are done on the basis of the rank scored in jee mains. Only qualify jee mains exam cannot guarantee the seat in NIT colleges, you need to score good in the exam then only you can land up in NIT colleges.
