For admission to B Tech course There is No option apart from what You mentioned, If You are interested in B Des then You can appear for UCEED and then You can take admissions into those IIT which offers Design courses such as IIT Guwahati and IIT Bombay.
For M tech admission is based on the score in GATE exam.
These are the examinations through which admission of students is done in IIT and NIT for BTech programs is :
JEE ADVANCED
So sorry to say but you will have to clear JEE ADVANCED to get admission At IIT/NIT.
