I want to ask what do you mean by elective subjects (what types of subjects are included in this) can I include painting in best of four?

Greetings!
An elective subject (also referred to as an 'optional subject') is not compulsory (unlike core subjects). You have a choice as to which elective subjects you can study.
If your course requires completion of elective subjects a list of options will be available in your Study Plan.
You may refer to your study plan to check which subjects are "core subjects" and which subjects are "elective subjects".
Including painting in your best four score may or may not be considered, depending on what course you are applying for. Again, depending on your course, they might make a deduction of 2% from your best four score. For example, if your best four score, including painting, is 94% then depending on the course admission policies and rule, they will deduct 2% and your best four score will be considered as 92% and not 94%.
I hope this helps you understand.
