There are many ways to become an army officer as stated below:-
If you are plus two from any group you can appear in NDA Examination conducted by the UPSC twice a year come in the merit.
If you plus two with physics, chemistry and maths and have aggregate over 70% marks you can apply for TES. The notifications are issued by the Army HQ. Candidates will be short listed by the Army HQ and called up for SSB Interview and Medical
If you are graduate in any stream you can appear in CDS Examination conducted by upsc twice a year for both permanent and short service commission. If you perform well you will be called up for SSB Interview and Medical.
If you graduate in engineering: Technology you apply for TGC and the notifications for this will be issued by the Army HQ . Candidates will be short listed as per requirement of each branch and will be called for SSB Interview and Medical. One can opt for both permanent as well as short service commission.
Those in their 3rd of BE:BTech can apply through UES.
Law graduates can apply for commission in JAG Branch.
For all entries one has to clear the SSB and be medically fit.
