If you want to become a Lab Technician , a very good and practical path is through paramedical courses after Class 12.

Popular courses are:

DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) – 1 to 2 years
BMLT (Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology) – 3 to 4 years

Eligibility usually requires:

Class 12 with PCB/Science stream for most colleges.

As a lab technician, you can work in:

hospitals,
diagnostic labs,
pathology centres, and
research labs.

Common work includes:

blood testing,
sample analysis,
operating lab equipment, and
preparing reports.

Starting salary is usually around Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh per year , and it increases with experience and specialization.
