I want to get a govt. job. Do I need to read C.S.E or E.C.E? Which is best?
I think if we compare both branches of engineering then ECE had more scope of government jobs as compared to CSE.
CSE jobs are mostly in private sector companies. There companies like Google microsoft, Infosys,TCS etc which are all private. The package depends on the college and your capabilities.
ECE has both private as well as government jobs.If one cracks gate then can get good pakage in government companies.

Everyone likes to do government job. The most satisfactory reason for this is job security. Nowadays, among all engineering branches the maximum vacancies are available for civil engineering followed by Electrical engineering and Mechanical engineering.
If you talk between CSE and ECE then the opportunities available to ECE engineers is more than opportunities available to CS engineers in government sectors like you can write Engineering Service Examination (ESE) with ECE but not in CSE stream.
