I want to take psychology as a carrier how do I go for it. Presently preparing for 12 and NEET??

Psychology surely is an interesting branch of science dealing with human emotions and behaviour and analysing it's response to various conditions. Considering your scenario, I'd best suggest that you continue with your preparations of your boards and NEET. Once your results are out you can choose from the following 1)PSYCHOLOGY- Based on your board scores you can apply to various colleges offering BA Courses in Psychology. You can check out the rankings of various colleges over the Internet. BA Psychology is a 3yr programme offering you a myriad of concepts to study and learn from. After which you can either directly enter into counselling or do a PG course of MA in Psychology a 2yr programme where you narrow down your field of work into a speciality of choice, which can be in Child psych, clinical, counselling, engineering, experimental. forensic, general, etc Your career options then would be- education, private research laboratories, outpatient clinics, prisons, federal and state government agencies, human resources, law enforcement, career centers, and the corporate sector. 2)PSYCHIATRY- This is another alternative. Although very different from psychology here you diagnose and treat a patient while a counselling psychologist helps you. The path though for this, Is way longer as you are already aware of. You do MBBS and then give another entrance for an MD is psychiatry. This specialisation is highly sort after and is well repaying! Firstly, let us explain you about Psychologist.The Psychologist is an expert or specialist in psychology.Sometimes peoples think that the Psychologist and Psychiatrist are same profession, but they both are completely different.Psychiatrist or other medical doctor uses medication for treatment while Psychologists can only use talk therapy as a treatment. To become Psychiatrist you have to clear NEETUG become a MBBS graduate for 5 1/2 years and then clear NEET - PG and do A MD in Psychiatry for 3 yrs..total 8 1/2 years minimum...... FOR Psychologist....After class 12 Bachelors Courses (Three Year duration) - Bachelor of Science in Psychology ,BA(Hons) in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology............
