IMU CET stands for Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission of the suitable candidates to Undergraduate (except BBA), Post Graduate and Research programs. Candidates have to qualify IMU CET 2020 to be eligible for admission.

You can go to various companies for getting sponsored and after getting sponsorship from any one of the shipping companies. Upon completion of the course you will be called for an internship of 12 months by the shipping company who had sponsored you.

You need to work hard and prove yourself as companies would start visiting the institutes for placements from the second year 3rd semester itself. You can either choose the Engineering course(4 years) or B.Sc course(3 years). Upon getting selected by the company you can join their ship as a Engine/Deck cadet.
