Iam going to write JEE main 2021,I came from diploma background,my caste is OC ,male,.. please tell me how many marks I have to get in JEE main to qualify for JEE advance?....and then tell me how many marks I have to get in JEE advance to get seat in good IIT college?
Hello Aspirant,
As of now eligibility criteria of JEE-Main 2021 is not been declared by National Testing Agency. But according to the eligibility criteria of JEE-Main 2020 you can have idea, if you are involved in Diploma courses than it should be of at least three years duration and should have recognition of AICTE or SBTE, than only you will be eligible to sit in JEE-Main.
As you belongs to Open category which is as smae as General category so you need to quailfy the cut-off for General category because NTA do not declares separate cut-off for Open category. So according to previous year's data you should secure at 90 percentile in order to qualify for JEE-Advance or 110-120 marks out of 300. Note that cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.
If we talk about JEE-Advance than you must secure your rank under 5000 for any of the good IITs marks cannot be predicted because that varies year-to-year.

Hi aspirant
See Jee main session 2,2020 and jee advanced 2020 are yet to be commenced. Now you are preparing for Jee 2021, how much percentile you will need for qualifying Jee advanced can't be predicted now as we don't know this year's cut off marks for jee main and jee advanced . The expected cut off for jee main is 90+ percentile. Cut off depends upon number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam and previous year's cut off etc. So you can prepare for 2021 and wait for 2020 results.
