While the RRB Exam Syllabus c omprises of

General Knowledge

Arithmetic Ability

General Science

General Intelligence

Bank Exams Syllabus is as follows

Banking GK

General Intelligence

Reasoning

Mainly if you prepare for any exam the common Portion is Mathematics and English as well as Reasoning Section.

Overall syllabus of railways is same as SSC CGL but in banking instead of GS main focus is on GA and computer.
Reasoning portion of banking is of higher level then ssc ,so if you prepare for banking reasoning then you can solve ssc reasoning very easily.
Maths of SSC is a level up than banking as it also includes advance maths.
So ,in short you can prepare for other competitive exams if you maintain proper balance among all .

If you are preparing of SSC CGL exam then banking exam you can prepare side by side. To prepare simultaneously for both the exams and to be able to crack them you must be really good at two key subjects- Maths and English language.
