If anyone fails in any semester , then will they have to restart the semester or whole year from beginning

Dear Nithya,
You need not to reappear/sestart for the back semester in which you have failed. Institutes give you chance to reappear in the back papers in the next semester. This means that you have to take the papers of the current semester as well as of the last semester together for papers in which you have failed.
