if i belong sc category so i can go with 400 marks in government sits for mbbs??
Hi
You have not mentioned your state of domicile dear ,
do let us know it as cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like your domicile state , number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But in general as per past year trends , you should try to get at least 450-500 marks to be on the safer side in your neet examination if you are from sc category and want to get a mbbs seat in government medical college
For example,
in neet 2019, 404 marks for sc category got into a government medical college i.e Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan under west bengal state quota
Thank you
hi,
see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on number of participants, seat matrix, questions difficulty level, state from where you belongs to, every state has 85% seat reserve for domicile candidates, remaining 15% seat are filled by all india counselling, in all india quota cutoff always goes high compare to home state quota. please let me know the state of your domicile then I may help you with closing rank of different mbbs colleges.
also you may check the below link to know about neet cutoff,
Akshata, you haven't mentioned the State you belong to. This is important because cut offs are different in each State. Few States like Bihar, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan have higher cut offs than States like Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, etc. So please do let us know the State you belong to. In general, 400 marks are tad less for a seat in Government Medical College. You should aim for atleast 450-475 for a seat. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
