If I can't get admission in a Government medical college in Neet 2019 should I drop a second year or take a private college(HIMS, lucknow).

Dear Syed, there are around 1500 Medical colleges in India and out of that a total of  287 are Government Medical colleges across India. And the rest are Private colleges. And these colleges are spread all over the country. And then there is 85% State Eligibility and 15% All India quota. So if you sre from Punjab and you want to secure a seat in Haryana, you should be competing in the All India Quota. Every year Lakhs of students appear for NEET. And the number of students who make it to the Medical college is in no comparision to the students who appear for the Exam. Then category, reservations come into picture. And this is just an example with data. Some people make it in the first attempt and some take quite a few attempts. But you are your own judge. You know whether you can really work hard to succeed innthe first attempt or need multiple attempts. You can always join another course keep preparing for NEET and then appear. Now there is no upper age limit nor any cap on the no
of attempts. So you have opportunities and options. Make the best use of them. Good luck!
