If I did BDS from Himachal dental college, Sundernagar . Can I get a good placement. And what will be the salary?

Greetings!
As per my knowledge, unfortunately, there is no campus placements for dental graduates in dental colleges of India. The only employment provided to dentists are either by the government,or private clinic owners who tend to recruit on small numbers through other portals.
Government normally publishes vacancy notifications on newspapers and websites.

This is a very subjective question, it also depends on which location you are doing job. In metros beginners may have to struggle a lot for getting a break through, as Dentistry is a saturated field in metros & further there is a lack of dental hygiene prevailing in our country.
Initially the salary may start from RS.10,000/- per month in private clinics , trust hospitals .
After a good practice of about 4 to 5 years you may start earning RS.25,000/- + commission on the work you do.
It is better to start a private clinic in less explored areas , cause after initial setup phase of a year you might get good rewards.
Further the competition is tough but if you get a job in academics in Government as well as Private Dental colleges than the salaries are attractive.
Salaries are also good in government hospitals.
