Yes of course you can do that. There is no problem in applying AIQ and then participating in Home State quota. It is better to go for AIQ only if you are getting better colleges than your Home State Colleges. Otherwise, it is nowhere helpful. As I know, the cutoff for State Quota in West Bengal is quite less so do things carefully.
