if I get 40000 common rank in jee main than what is my sc rank

It is unpredictable that by what factor your category rank will be low from your common rank. it totally depends on the board that how they will lower and on the basis of which factor. It will be surely less than 10K.

This will open you to many college options. You can apply for state government colleges and also apply for other top private colleges also like BITS. You might be eligible for IIIT also. But all this will depend on your categorical rank. After that only the choice of colleges can be done.
