Hello Bibisha
The cutoff changes every year depending upon many factors and so it would be difficult to predict the admission chances. Under 85% state quota seats the cutoff ranges between 540- 643 on the basis of previous years analysis. The cutoff goes high every year. Whereas under 15% AIQ seats, it's mostly 500-20+ for admission in government medical colleges. Try to keep high target and work accordingly. Aim on scoring maximum marks to increase your chances of admission in your desired college.

Dear Bibisha, you haven't mentioned your category. You also missed the part whether you are looking for State Quota or All India Quota. Neverthless, in 2018, 609 was the last marks that got a seat in Government Medical college in Tamilnadu under State Quota for General Category. For OBC category, it was 583, SC was 543 and for ST it was 529. Under All India Quota, 401 got medical seats under ST category. Cut off changes every year and it is dependant on varipus factors like no.of candidates appearing for NEET, no.of seats available, difficulty of the exam, category of the candidate and top NEET score. Since 2018, there has been an increase by 3 lakh in students who registered for NEET. The medical seats haven't increased in the same manner. So 400 is going to be a very less score.
