This is legal and you can do if you can pay the penality of the college (your state college).Each and every state has some terms and conditions on admission procedure .There is Penality on leaving the seats after taking the admission.Some states like bihar and jharkhand has implemented about 10-15 lakh of penality if you leave MBBS after last counselling and about 5-7lakh if you leave vetinary seat.So it depends on the state and its terms and condition.
