Hi Diana
KCET entrance exam is not considered for admission to MBBS and BDS courses of Karnataka state. However, you can fill the application form to be eligible for the counselling sessions conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for seats in Government colleges and Government shared seats in private colleges.
KEA released its application form in the month of July last year. It is likely that the authorities will be releasing its application form again in the month of June 2018. Although, it is not recommended to wait for the applications to be re-opened after NEET result is declared.
The admissions will be taken on the basis of NEET 2018 score. To fill the KCET application form you will be required to give your NEET registration number for which you must submit NEET application form. If you want to register with KCET then do register. The last date to fill KCET application form is now extended up to March 8, 2018.
Hope it helps!
Hi,
Pls check this notification and read it carefully. NEET is compulsory for all states and universities except for AIIMS and JIPMER. However you have to fill the KCET application too to be considered for the admissions through NEET. Once you write NEET, you will be required to enter your NEET marks. The number 10 is to distinguish for which course. For MBBS and BDS, there is no KCET. As for point 15, if you bellong to Karnataka, you will claim the state quota.
