Dear, it mainly depends on your practice level on types of questions. If your basics are clear, concepts are strong and the main part i.e practicing maximum questions will surely get your a good score. The more you'll practice the more idea you'll get of the question-level-pattern + applications of the formulae and also the logic-where and when to be applied. Once you know this- you'll be able to solve questions. So, practice.. practice and practice.. and you will know your mistakes well while solving and this'll help you keep important points in mind.
Don't focus much towards your score, rather keep working on your mistakes and do clear your doubts of the tests. As it majorly depends on how you deal with the questions. Hope this is clear to you.!

Basics refers to simple understanding of the chapter like whatever content is given in the chapter- it should be clear to you and you can solve questions. Biology is the most scoring subject that can help you score maximum and cover half of your result. Well, chapters included in Human physiology-have maximum weightage and requires general understanding of the mechanisms given in the chapters. Then the genetics part- most important, respiration, photosynthesis - questions can be asked like calculate the number of ATP NAD etc on the basis of the given condition in the question. The rest what you should know and go through is the examples, classifications, diagrams and their labellings, statistics (ecology, organisms and population Chapter), tabular data, highlighted data, name of the scientists/inventors/discoverers, full forms, and lastly the summary part given at the end of every chapter > all this of NCERT sound be focused maximum in order to score more.
