if we didn't study well in IITs after joining, should we leave IIT?

Hello dear aspirant.
For your kind information the place where you are at the moment (IIT) is dream place for many scholars and you are very fortunate that you are in it. Try to focus on your studies as if this is the only option for you. Never ever think of leaving it even and try to bring back your concentration.
