Hi aspirant,
I would like to tell you that there is no as such inter-relation between the JEE MAIN phase 1 and phase 2. The result is decided on the basis of the best performance in both the exams. If you fail to appear in the phase 2 exam, then the final score will be based on your Phase 1 paper. However it will be much better if you try to appear for the Phase 2 exam as this will improve your chance of getting a higher score.
