Both of the branch have same opportunities in IIIT Allahabad. Majority of companies allow both IT and ECE to sit for process. But, IT has an edge that what ever you study for semester will be same asked in placement procedure. But for ECE candidates they must learn all subjects of IT from their own for placement and they will be taught different during semester.
