Hey there!
If you want to practise medicine, get your license for the same and want to go for securing a residency in the USA, you have to start by giving the USMLE. Once you have successfully qualified the USMLE, you are required (if interested) to go to USA and practise medicine in your preferred/ opted field. Once thta is over (it usually takes around 3-5 years), you go for applying for residency.
