Hello Akshara,
Study schedule is different for every student and you need to devise your own methods of studying. It is not necessary that you should study for 6 hours a day but it is necessary that you study everyday. Choose a time table that is sustainable means which you can follow for a longer period of time like for one year. And that should be decided by you on the basis of your routine and capacity.
You can study productively for 4-5 hours a day for one year and achieve desired results but study for 6-7 hours and get bored by the end of the week!
Also, you can start by studying 2-3 hours a day and slowly increase your timing as you get used to it. You can give more time to study on holidays. This way it will not feel like a burden to you. Consistency is very important factor and patience is another pillar of preparation.
Hope this helps you!
