Biology as a mainstream subject in undergraduate courses, is splitted into various branches like Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology etc. You can pursue a degree in any of them.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bengaluru) however, provides B.S.(Research) (i.e. similar to Bachelor of Science in Research), in Biology course, where in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd semesters, you will have to take one core course each in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, engineering and the humanities.
