You can still participate in JoSAA counselling because your eligibility and rank depend on your marks, not on the parent name details. However, the names must match your Class 10 marksheet during document verification. If they don’t match, your admission may get delayed or even rejected, so it’s important to correct them.
To correct this, you need to get an affidavit made and notarised. It should clearly mention that the parent names were entered incorrectly by mistake and that the names in the application and your Class 10 marksheet refer to the same people. Carry this affidavit to the JoSAA reporting centre during document verification.
