Basis of marks. Also, percentile gives an idea of your rank which can be used for cutoff ranks.
After you take the NEET examination, you are awarded with respective marks and percentile. Percentile gives you a picture of where you stand in the queue of students who had taken NEET. While marks are exclusively used as cutoffs in various Medical Colleges as they portray a clearer image.
