Hey,

Allotment of seats is according to the choice preference list you enter. You did not get a seat because the colleges the chose had no seats left till the time it came to your rank. Others with higher ranks got a seat because maybe the colleges they had selected had seats left when it came to their ranks. Or, there are chances that they have some reservation like SC/ST.
