Dear Kakali, cut off changes every year and is dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. In 2018, 479 marks secured a seat in Government Medical College, Maldah under General Category. Now the no.of candidates who appeared in NEET in 2018 were around 12 lakhs and in 2019 were around 15 lakhs. But the seats haven't increased in the same manner. Given these circumstances, the cut off is going to be relatively higher.

Perhaps you do not know that In this year 5 new (approx500 seat)medical colleges start . And also 10 % seat increase in every college caze 10%ur economic weaker reservation start in this year. So i think the cutoff lebel of ur categoryof wb decrease .

Assuming 500 seats are coming, they wouldnt be accomodating all the thousands of students who.appeared for the exam. And MCI has inspected the sites and is yet to give clearance for admissions for your reference. This information is availble on the MCC official website. Regarding EWS reservation, MCI has just asked the colleges to give their proposals as how they will incorporate 10% ews reservation by May 15th. And all the 450 odd Medical colleges proposals need to be looked into and approved in 1 month given the fact that Counselling will start tentatively from 3rd week of June. And NTA hasnt officially announced anything as how it plans to incorporate EWS reservation yet. So unless there is any concrete information, we cannot rely on assumptions.
R u medical student? U said high cutoff so i said. Becaz this year bio question in 1st look very easy but many question on ncert base but contents were not in ncert. In exam hall it was not so easy to answer those questions. Many men said question was very easy than 2018. It is not true it tally with 2017 not2018. So i thik cutoff vary between 2017 & 2018. Cutoff not jump very high mainly in west bengal. In Other state cutoff maybe high.
I am a Medical Graduate. And to be honest, many of them actually found the paper to be quite easy. Neverthless, hope for the best and I sincerely hope you get a Medical seat. Good luck:)
