According to the official information, it is compulsory for you to secure 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th board or qualifying examination for NIT admissions. If you belong to SC/ST category then the qualifying marks in 65%. If you meet these criteria and qualify JEE Main with the required marks then you will be eligible for admissions into NITs. Along with NITs, you will also be eligible for IIITs and CFTIs. All the best!
Yes, it is compulsory to get 75% marks in your boards exam or you should be in top 20 percentile to get admission in NITs for general category. For SC/ST it is 65% marks.
