is 96.2 percentile enough for getting a rank in top 15 nits(ece branch) using reservation
Hello ,
You have not mentioned which reserved cateogry you belong to at this percentile your rank will be around 35k-40k depending upon the number of student going to appear in July session .
So , at this if you belong to OBC category you will not have chance to get ECE in any of top 15 NITs , you may get branches like Mechanical, BioTech , Production or Metallurgy in top 15 NITs .
For SC category it may be possible to get ECE in last round in some of NITs among top 15 NITs .
For ST or PWD category you have fair chance of getting ECE .
Hope this will help you .
Hello,
Assuming that you have scored 96.2 percentile in January session then your overall expected rank will be around 33022 by the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100 where 869010 is the total number of candidates appeared in January session. In July session 12,00,000 candidates are expected to appear then your overall expected rank will be around 45,600. You have not mentioned your category so with reservation you may have chances of getting seat in top NITs but cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.
