Yes, you can apply in Navy for an officer rank with eyesight problem also but there are some conditions you need to take care of and those are:

You should meet the following visual standards

(a) Uncorrected without glass 6/12

(b) Corrected with glass 6/6

(c) Limits of Myopia -1.5

(d) Limits of Hypermetropia +1.5

(e) Binocular vision Ill

(f) Limits of Color Perception

If you want to join Navy as an officer then you'll start by holding the rank as a Sub. Lieutenant and then you'll become a Lieutenant. To become an officer you can give NDA after your 12th or CDS after your graduation.

NDA includes two papers i.e. Mathematics and General Awareness. GAT involves english,physics, chemistry,biology, geography, history. civics and current affairs. This exam is conducted twice in a year and you are eligible for this only if your age is 16.5-19.5 years.

You can give CDS if you are in your final year of college or have graduated i.e. from 20-24 years of age. Syllabus for this exam includes English and General awareness test. GAT includes history, biology, geography, physics, chemistry. civics, economics, current affairs. This exam is also conducted twice in a year in the months of February and September.
