Yes admit card is an important document.May be it will asked to submit the admit card on counseling time.

Don't worry if your admit card was taken by examiner then you can again download the soft copy of the admit card .

Admit card is available on NTA website.

You must visit and download your admit card.

But for what purpose does jee mains admit card play in the admission process. Like they can't even check our rank through admit card as they need a password for it

Yes, it is an important document. If it has been taken by the examiner in the exam hall then you can get another one from the website. There will a link to download admit card during JOSAA Counselling so, if the link is not right now donn't be panic just chill, there will be a seperate link to download admit card during JOSAA counselling.
