Dear Siddu,

I assume that you want to know about IIST UG admission through JEE. If that is the case, then let me tell you that, admission to IIST is not done through JEE Main. It is done through JEE Advanced. There is no way that you can qualify for IIST UG admissions through JEE Main only. For appearing in JEE Advanced, you have to first qualify in JEE Main, and then take JEE Advanced and qualify in it. After qialifying in JEE Advanced, you have to apply for IIST UG Engineering admission by filling the applicaton form from May 22, 2018 onwards. Also, you have to qualify in JEE Advanced with the minimum required marks for IIST admission.

As per last years eligibility, General Categroy candidates must have scored the following in JEE Advanced:

General category candidates minimum 20% marks in JEE Advanced i.e 73 marks out of 366 and at least 6 marks out of 122 in each of the three subjects.

OBC-NCL candidates - minimum 65 marks out of 366 marks and 5 marks in each of the three subjects

SC, ST & PD candidates - minimum 10% marks i.e 36 marks out of 366.

But remember that JEE Advanced exam pattern keeps on changing every year, so the eligibility may change for 2018 admission. You have to keep a track of that too.
