Is B.A student, who had computer science as an additional subject. Can apply for B.Tech in IT?

Dear Candidate,

Yes of course you can apply for B.Tech in IT and if you wish even in CS as well or any other branch of your choice. The thing to keep in mind here is that your B.A score or field/subject of choice has nothing to do when you are applying for B.Tech. For admission in B.Tech your high school and intermediate(10+2) marks will be considered. And your application will be counted as fresh application. Your previous degree score where nowhere be involved.

But you will have to take admission directly in First Year, as it will be a fresh admission like any other normal admission and rest all the process will be similar. You can't take admission in any year in between. You wont be allowed to do that.

However, you need to check the university/college in which you are wishing to take admission. As some universities have a rule that your age must be less that 23yrs or less.

And if you had a subject related to computer science, as you have mentioned, then it will be for your benefit as it will be good you will be knowing things  from before hand.
