If you are considering to apply for a masters program abroad or in India, then yes a bachelor's degree is considered equivalent. The only difference lies in GPA calculation. As the marking scheme tends to differ with different bachelor's degree, different universities also adopt varying ways to convert Indian degree grades and percentages into a 4-point GPA.
